When I look back on the movies that I love, the thing that got me into the theater was generally the song that is in the trailer. Garden State had Frou Frou “Let Go,” Like Crazy had a cover of Elvis and Stars “Dead Hearts” that was a seller. Even the series finale of Six Feet Under had “Breathe Me” by Sia, which still is one of the most high emotions 4:40 in a TV show has offered (sorry it’s not TV, it’s HBO). Grizzly Bear scoring Blue Valentine, it doesn’t take a scientist to figure that out music can change the emotion in a scene. I finally got around to reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower, motivation came from the trailer to the upcoming adaptation to the big screen. The book is flawless, raw and real. Check out Imagine Dragon’s “It’s Time” and the trailer for The Perks of Being A WallFlower.
