THE UNIFORM PROJECT – ONE DRESS, 365 WAYS

Talk about curating your wardrobe. Sheena Matheiken, New York City advertising professional turned philanthropist, was born in Ireland, raised in India, and started The Uniform Project as a way to not only give back to her native country of India, but also to be involved in something that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.

She took something that we all do every single day, and turned it into a fundraising initiative: getting dressed.

For 365 days, Sheena wore the same dress every single day, only accessorizing with things she already had in her closet. The only ‘new’ accessories she attained for the year were recycled or used.

One of the many amazing things about this initiative is that Sheena looked better than most of us do most days during her year of the same little black dress. She is truly inspiring.
