MARC JACOBS: “FASHION ISN’T A NECESSITY. IT PULLS AT YOUR HEART. IT’S A WHIM.”

I increasingly find myself intrigued by the hearts and minds behind fashion powerhouses. The Visionaries: Tom Ford documentary still has me awestruck by Ford’s obsession with detail and innate eye for style, and will forever have a permanent spot reserved on my boyfriend’s PVR.

Marc Jacobs, a true artist and one of the most talented and famous designers of our time, has had his share of life tries and struggles. Now, he is in the best shape of his life. Couture buzz surrounded him this past fall as he was being seriously considered for the house of Dior.

In an exclusive interview with the-talks.com, the rarely interviewed Jacobs touches on finding the key to happiness and the joys that have grown out of his new image: “… I feel that I live a happier and richer life since I’ve been taking care of myself…. I think I gained an appreciation for things that I had taken for granted.” Read the full interview.
