READY! SET! GET FABRICATED.

Fabricated the high profile fashion event is set to present some of Calgary’s buzz worthy fashion lines at the monumental GRAND Theatre (608 1st Street SW), April 16.

With tickets selling fast prior to it’s official announcement, Fabricated has been labelled the “must attend” fashion show of Spring 2011. Event organizers Brook Fung of Peeko Apparel and Hadija Gabunga of Hipband are pleased to announce Fabricated will show the debut collection of emerging line JALU Clothing, created and designed by the fashion duo to watch for 2011 Jacille Herbert and Luanne Ronquillo.

The versatile and wearable, Apiana Que by Ashley Quan offers a hint of playfulness and will also be a main feature. “[Quan’s] work shows an experienced designer who is open to being different,” says Gabunga.

Partner and co-producer Brook Fung, will also show the latest from her own label Peeko Apparel. Peeko garments spring to life through high quality reclaimed and vintage materials. Fung’s designs have most recently caught the attention of FASHION Magazine and more. Peeko Apparel has also been featured as a top seller on the popular Etsy site several times this year alone.

Highly acclaimed menswear designer Haithem Elkadiki of Kaadiki Designs has also confirmed he will be showing at a collection never seen before, which is sure to leave the fashion industry and Fabricated audience captivated.

“We are really excited to bring a polished fashion event that is catered to giving designers a platform to showcase their collections while contributing to the fashion community. We hope to make the industry accessible and open to the fresh, raw and quality talent Calgary has to offer,” says Gabunga.
