SPRING FORECAST: GOING BA-NA-NAS FOR MIXED PRINTS

Spring, that’s all we can think of as the shop windows change to bright colors and lighter layers it’s time to start thinking of the new additions to our wardrobes.

Though it’s still negative 20 something out there and we are still braving the weather bundled up in layers and feeling sluggish.

Finally we can look forward to some new pieces that are going to catch our attention in boutiques and mall displays, because this season it’s about bold colors and both wild and subtle pattern.

Mix it up! Play with those splashes of color, mix hot pink and orange, yes that’s what I said. Floral patterns with polka dots, tribal with whimsical.

Take a cue from Prada and go a bit ba-na-nas, and on the safer side reuse those floral pieces that are still on trend from last season and reinvent them like Isaac Mizrahi.

All we know is there’s a glimmer of hope from this cold winter and a light at the end where we just might un-thaw with a ‘pop’ of color. Even now you can infuse your wardrobe, let go of that boring black blazer and try turquoise or your plain black handbag and trade it in for a bright patterned clutch. Time to spread the color!

For a fashion fix on a budget try these H&M Divided shorts for only $19.95 or an amazing pair of wedges from Aldo for $90.00
